Saturday 2 May, 11am The Barn, Manor Farm, Kingston Deverill
David Stratton’s family has been farming at Kingston Deverill for 150 years. Much has changed in that time – and much has stayed the same. In this fascinating talk, David described the progress of agriculture and how it has affected the landscape, the culture and, most importantly, the people of the Valley.
Countryside history, a captivating glimpse into a business we often take for granted and, above all, some wonderful stories: they were all there!
The weather behaved so David led a walk up the hill to view the beautiful land he and his family care for.
50% of the proceeds from this event went to the churches of the Deverills and Horningsham
